How to Manage Kitchens and Order Receipts in Mekari POS F&B

In Mekari POS F&B, you can create multiple kitchen sections as needed, so each order can be forwarded to the correct kitchen with the appropriate receipt.

For example, if a restaurant has a food kitchen and a beverage bar, users can create 2 kitchen sections. Each kitchen section will receive the order receipt that needs to be made according to the products assigned to that kitchen. When a customer orders Fried Rice and Coconut Ice, the Fried Rice order will be forwarded to the food kitchen, and the Coconut Ice will be forwarded to the bar. Here are the steps.

  1. In the Back Office, go to the Settings menu.

  2. Then select the Receipt Template submenu and click “Kitchen Management”.

  3. You will see the system-provided default kitchen section. To add a new section, click the “+Add Kitchen Section” button.

  4. Enter the Kitchen Section Name in the provided field.

  5. In the Printing style section, select Combine products if you want the kitchen order receipt to be printed as one for all products handled by that kitchen, or choose Split print if you want the receipt printed separately for different products.

  6. Select which sales source the order comes from.

  7. In the Select products section, choose All products if the kitchen can handle all products, or select Section products if the kitchen only handles certain products.

  8. If you select Section products, click “+Add” to add products.

  9. For example, if you want to create a beverage kitchen, you can select the beverage collection, then check the “Product” column to select all products and click “Save”.

  10. Finally, in the Select Receipt section, there are several types of order receipts that can be printed for that kitchen section.

    Explanation:

    Transfer table slip The receipt will be printed if the customer who ordered changes tables.
    Return ticket The receipt will be printed if the customer requests an order return.
    Kitchen ticket The receipt will be printed if there is an order from a customer.
  11. If the settings are correct, click “Save”.

  12. After the section is successfully created, there are several actions you can take by hovering the cursor over the kitchen section. Select the “eye” icon to view the section display, choose the “pencil icon” to make changes, or the “trash” icon to delete.
