How to Manage Document Relations on Mekari Sign

You may now quickly establish, modify, and remove links between documents on Mekari Sign through your Dashboard or document page. If Document A is an "update" of Document B, for instance, Document B will automatically receive a notification indicating that Document A has been "updated on" Document B. In this case, you will learn how to add Document Relations, examine linked documents, and remove document links. These are the steps.

Important
- You can only link documents that you have access to.
- If you are in someone else's workspace (such as a shared document), you will see their point of view on the document.
 

A. How to Add Document Relations Through the All Inbox Page

  1. Log in to your Mekari Sign account then select the “Documents” menu.
  2. Then click “All Inbox”.
  3. Then click “Sign” on one of the documents with the status ‘Need to sign’.
  4. Then select “Link document”.
  5. In the Link document panel, select the type of relation consisting of Amended by and Renewed by. Then select the document you want to link from the search or selection list.

    If necessary, click “Add document” to specify more document relations.

  6. Then click “Link”.
  7. the following information pop up will appear indicating that your document has been successfully linked.

B. How to Add Document Relations from the Document Detail Page

  1. Go to the Documents menu, click the All Inbox tab.
  2. Click on one of the documents to see its detail page.
  3. Then scroll down the page until you find the Linked Documents section. Click "Add link".
  4. Then you will be directed to the Link document panel display. Follow the steps for setting up the Link to the document under point A's explanation.

C. How to View Linked Documents

  1. Open the document detail page that contains Linked Documents.
  2. Scroll down to find the Linked Documents section

    In the Linked documents section, you will see the Document Relations Table consisting of the following columns:
    a. Relation: information about the activity in the document consisting of Amended by (changed by) or Renewed by (updated by).
    b. Document name: name of the document.
    c. Document status: document status (for example, Waiting for Others or Voided).

  3. In the row of documents you want to see, click the "three-dot icon" on the right side. Then click "View document".

D. How to Unlink a Document

  1. Open the document details page that has the status “Needs to sign”.
  2. Scroll down to find the Linked Documents section.
  3. On the row of documents you want to view, click the “three-dot icon” on the right side. Then click “Unlink”.
  4. Then the following information will appear indicating that the document has been successfully unlinked.
