To be able to perform the eKYC process, make sure that you have a document that you need to sign, either a document that you create yourself and then you need to sign yourself or from another document creator who invites you to sign the document.

If you do not fulfil the criteria mentioned above, you will not be able to perform the eKYC process, and when you click "Start data verification", you will be directed to the following screen.
This may be due to:
1. You do not have the document that you need to sign.
2. Your previous eKYC verification process is still in progress.

In Mekari Sign, you can now perform verification and eKYC process, which serves to issue a digital certificate, so that the electronic signature you provide is official and recognised by the private sector, government, and national justice system (according to UU ITE 2008 article 11). This certificate is valid for a year, so you can verify and process eKYC once a year.

Here are the steps:

  1. Go to the Settings Menu page, click the Account tab and select Digital certificate and click "Start data verification".
  2. Read the terms and conditions, tick the checklist box at the bottom and click "Activate account".

  3. Upload a photo of your ID card.

  4. Then fill in your NIK and full name, and click "Next".
  5. Then, a 6-digit OTP code will be sent to your email. Enter the OTP code into the box provided, then click "Send".
  6. Do liveness detection by clicking "Mulai" (Start) and face your face to the camera, with the following conditions:
    - Remove facial attributes (Glasses, Hat, Mask)
    - Make sure the lighting is good, not too dark & not too bright

  7. Then, follow the commands that appear on your screen, the face facing forward
please do not move during the face capture process.
  8. If your eKYC verification process is accepted, your digital certificate will be issued immediately. However, if the eKYC verification process is rejected, you will be directed to do a manual eKYC verification process.
